Daily Journal January 30, 1998, William Thomas Thompson. They call wages income so it can be taxed. We are now coming into Friday of this week on the way out of this month already. Time is on a runaway and we are so near to the end of this millennium. I fear to cross over into 2000. I fear for the 5 billion living people all over the world. I fear God most. Today’s subject is about social security taxes forced on all wages in America. Tomorrow I will write about insurance. All these could make entire books but I am just mentioning them like head lines as possibly contributing to the downfall of America. Allen Greenspan was on T.V. yesterday talking like he was the president to congress and all our reps are asleep in Washington letting the world run our country. I always thought that either Greenspan was crazy or that my daddy taught me wrong about economy because, what ever Greenspan said was across the grain and opposite from what I thought made good sense for the nation. Until I finally figured out the Federal Reserve and realized that they have a different motive in handling the people’s money. The fed does not have our best interest in mind in my opinion in anything they do or say. Social security tax on wages is matched by your employer. Most people do not know that every employer must match or double the tax on wages. Why not just pay the employee the SSI to work. There are so many taxes on the payroll today, federal, state, city in some areas and maybe county. There is insurance mandated by law. What does law have to do with insurance? Then there is the unemployment insurance taxes, another burden on payroll and the accounting. It is not the job of an employer to fund retirement. All this plus the unions has made us a second rate production power in the world. I decided way back years ago when I saw a big state chart hanging in my business and when reading it, it threatened me as the employer with fines or imprisonment if I did or did not do certain things. This chart is in every workplace in the state and in every state. I rather quit than be threatened. Most private employers have quit because they lose money, I say go back to bare wages with no government, period! Get government out of business. Leave people alone to make a living or let people go back to zero expenses to live like it was at the turn of the century when everyone had a cow and a garden but no television. I left my recorder on and now I am playing back while I type. I have never heard such trash on the air as today’s T.V., it appears to have been recorded during the daytime programs. Poor children. "The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life" I am moving in spirit closer to the outdoor art display in St. Augustine. I can see now that all the big ideas on how to run it were not meant to be. I just want to call it My House! I still plan it to be a mission with major art display of the message. "Let us be content in whatever state we are in" Yesterday we ate again at Cateran buffet for lunch and I think it’s again worthy of mention. They had old fashioned real mashed potatoes, boiled spinach, my favorite and pinto beans. What else does a person need to eat. They also have that awful good and very delicious Southern fried chicken but its cooked in hydrogenated cooking oil I think that could send one into a heart attach. Many people I notice that eat here weigh 300lbs, it must be good. The Holy Spirit. Let every believer not cheat themselves out of the joy of the full Christian life. It takes awhile for a baby to grow up to an adult, so it takes awhile for a Christian to grow up and develop into a mighty powerful servant of God to last for all time walking in daily holiness before God and enjoying his blessings. "Come and go with me, I am bound for the promise land" (up in heaven). I expect Jesus Christ will return to earth again soon to set up His kingdom here for a thousand years, Let us all be ready. Revelation 20-6,"shall reign with him a thousand years"
